National Park lodge expanding

Working hard to get their establishment bigger and better for the winter are the proprietors of Discovery, near National Park. Four self-contained units have recently been constructed near the front of the 1 30-bed complex which consists of one-rooin chalets through to six-bed units and a caravan park. The long gravel drive around \the complex is soon to be sealed by Hurlstone Earthmoving of Ohakune and 300 trees will be planted before winter. Discovery hopes to get a restaurant and house bar licence by the winter so they can serve alcohol to their guests. Co-owner, Mel Lee said this summer has been the best yet for them with many visitors using the camping ground at Discovery to park camper vans.
