No Ohakune pool "virtually inexcusable"

At a recent Ohakune Borough Council meeting the Mayor, Mr Bill Taylor, said that many residents had voiced their concern to him that the Ohakune swimming baths had not opened this summer. "This feeling has especially come from parents of young children and teachers and it is virtually inexcusable," he said. He said there was little or nothing that could be done at this stage but further action would have to be takeri. "All councillors will be aware that more positive action will be required to ensure the baths will open next swimming season," he said.
