HOCKEY

There was a big attendance at the Rangers Ladies Hockey Club annual general meeting last Thursday. The team has 15 interested players at the moment but other players are welcome. Practices begin at 5.30pm on 13 March at Ruapehu College and will continue each Thursday after that. The Rangers' opening games will be at a seven-a-side tournament at Waiouru in early April. Supporter and past coach , of the team, Bully Hays, was elected patron of the team. Jill Evans has been reelected president and Brenda Wcob re-elected secretarytreasurer. Newly elected equipment and uniform officer is Aileen Weller. Anyone interested in playing with Rangers should contact Karen Cranston.
