King Country Electric Power Board ALTERATION OF ELECTRICITY CHARGES The Board's consumers are notified that on account of increased costs, the Board has resolved that electricity charges will be increased as from 1 April 1986. The new charges will be as follows: Tarriff Schedule Effective 1 April 1986 The rates shown below are on a per one month basis. Accounts rendered in accordance with this schedule are subject to a discount of 10% if paid on or before the due date shown on the account and specified in the Board's Standard Terms and Conditions of Electricity Supply. (1) DOMESTIC: (01) Private self contained homes, restricted to the use of electric power by commonly accepted domestic oriented appliances. Domestic thermal storage water heaters of 9 litres capacity and over shall be fitted with elements of not more than 1500 wattsforcylinders upto 182 litres and 2000 watts for cylinders in excess of 182 litres. Domestic thermal water heating installations shall comply with NZS 4603 and the water heating cylinders shall comply with the requirementof NZS 4602. The supply of electricity to Domestic water heating installations and spa pool heating elements shall, at the discretion of the Board, be restricted to off peak times as determined from time to time by the Board's General Manager. (1.1) General: Supply Charge $8.33 per month or part thereof plus $1.10 per kilowatt of connected uncontrolled instantaneous water heating load per month. All units at 4.89 cents per unit. (1.2) Controlled Storage Space Heating: (02) For domestic installations approved by the Board as suitable for controlled supply, switched on at low load periods as determined from time to time by the Board's General Manager. All units at 3.83 cents per unit. (2) NON DOMESTIC: (2.1) General: (05) For installations not shown elsewhere in this schedule, e.g. business premises, chartered clubs, club living accommodation lodges, staff living accommodation, motels, offices, boarding houses, workshops, schools, halls, clubrooms, farms, construction sites, etc., including an aggregate installed motor capacity not exceeding 50 kilowatts. Supply Charge $8.33 per month or part thereof plus $1.10 per kilowatt of connected uncontrolled instantaneous water heating load in excess of 8 kilowatts per month. All units 9.56 cents per unit. (2.2) Controlled Storage Space Heating: (06) For installations approved by the Board as suitable for controlled supply switched on at low load periods as determined from time to time by the Board's General Manager. All units at 3.83 cents per unit. Minimum Charge $9.20 per month. (2.3) Industrial, A: (07) & (08) Applies to industrial installations have aggregate installed motor capacity in excess of 50 kilowatts. $3.27 per kilovoltampere of maximum demand in any 1 5 minutes per month for the eight months from 15 September to 15 May each year with a minimum charge for the eight months period equal to $15.00 per kilovoltampere for the highest registered demand during the eight months, plus $33.61 per kilovoltampere of maximum demand in any 15 minutes per month for the four months from 15 May to 15 September each year with a minimum charge equal to $86.00 per kilovoltampere for the highest demand registered during the four months plus All units at 5.11 cents per kilowatthour. (2.4) Industrial, B: Installations with connected load in excess of 1000 kilowatts. $3.27 per kilovoltampere maximum demand in any 1 5 minutes per month for the eight months from 15 September to 15 May each year with a minimum charge for the eight months period equal to $15.00 per kilovoltampere for the highest registered demand during the eight months, plus $33.61 per kilovoltampere of maximum demand in any 15 minutes per month for the four months from 15 May to 15 September each year with a minimum charge equal to $86.00 per kilovoltampere for the highest demand registered during the four months, plus 5. 19 cents per kilowatthour used between the hours of 0700 and 2300, plus 4.23 cents per kilowatthour used between the hours 2300 and 0700. (2.5) Hospitais: (09) For all public hospital purposes metered through one meter. Supply charge $8.33 per month. All units at 9.13 cents per unit. (2.6) Water Heating: (10) For cowshed and non domestic water heaters of over 90 litres capacity and supply to be controlled as required by the Board to off peak times as determined from time to time by the Board's General Manager. All units at 4.31 cents per unit. Minimum Charge $9.50 per month. (2.7) Electric Welders: (05) All consumers using electric welders must comply with the Board's requirements for the use of such equipment and will be charged at rate (2.1) Non domestic General rate. (2.8) Mountain Installations: / Applies to all installations situated J excess of 1200 meters above sea ievel. Tariff rate that would be applicable to the installation if located less than 1 200 meters above sea Ievel as prescribed in this schedule of tariffs and charges, all plus 15 per cent. (3) SPECIAL RATES: The Board reserves the right to apply special rates in cases of extraordinary supply in regard to electrical loading, conditions, location etc. (4) PUBLIC STREETLIGHTING: , The Board installs and maintains the whole installation on existing poles.
