Milk quality in question
Milk drinkers are finding their favourite drink is not all it should be at the moment. There is a problem at the Palmerston North milk treatment plant, where Waimarino milk comes from, which is causing a creamy plug to stick to the sides of bottles of pasteurised milk. Peter Jones, assistant general manager of the plant, said they were searching for the cause of the problem and hoped to overcome it soon. He said the problem is accentuated in the Waimarino because milk is delivered only every two days. He suggested consumers should use ho'mogenised milk in the meantime and warned against letting the milk become warm. Local milk vendor, John Triggell, said his saies were being affected by a problem beyond his control.
