National Park
water and sewage scheme National Park township will be getting a water and sewage system — at last. The Taumarunui County Council, at their full meeting on Thursday 14 November, decided to proceed with the works which are expected to be completed in the new year. A differential rating system based on three zonings within the township will be introduced. The county will be advertising their intentions and ratepayers will have the opportunity to object. The National Park Community Council is to ask for financial assistance from National Park business people and from various government departments to help pay for an information centre at National Park. The centre would incorporate information about the Tongariro National Park.
