CHURCHES

Dear Sir, As a local resident of Ohakune I would like to say how badly neglected the grounds are of the local churches, not only in Ohakune but also in Raetihi. Surely the congregations of the varying denominations can hold working bees to brighten up their grounds. I know of only one such church that does this on a regular basis, and it is a real credit to them. Come on the rest of you, show that you care too — plant a few shrubs, mow some lawns and make your church the warm and welcoming place it should be.
