MUNROS LEAVE THE WAIMARINO

Brian Munro, an employee of the Raetihi branch of Dalgety Crown for 20 years, transferred to Wellsford recently. Mr Munro, who was a stock agent in Raetihi, is being promoted to livestock representative in Wellsford's Dalgety Crown store. His wife, June, who has been working in Dowman's Four Square in Raetihi, and their daughter Donna, 17, who worked at the Raetihi Borough Council, accompanied him, but their son, Craig, 20, remained in Raetihi. Mr Munro began his career at Loan and Mercantile in Wanganui in 1955. The company later changed to Dalgety Crown. He transferred to Taihape in 1962, then moved to Raetihi in 1965. A farewell for the Munros was held in the Waimarino Club.
