The fourth race of the New Zealand Speed Skiing series was held at Mangaehuehu Glacier, Turoa Skifields, on Sunday 6 October. Results were: Men lst Henry Van Asch, Christchurch 161.39kmh (100.29mph). Prize — one day heliskiing courtesy Mountain Guides Hdiski, Twizel. 2nd Martin Jones, Christchurch, 154.77kmh (96.17 mph). Prize — Montana Crystal Glide courtesy Junction Ski Shop, Ohakune. 3rd Jeff Fields, Ohakune, 150.00kmh (93.21 mph). Prize — Montana Crystal Glide courtesy Junction Ski Shop, Ohakune. 4th Simon Wi Rutene, Rotorua, 144.39kmh (89.72 mph). 5th Bernie Schragbernhard, 144.00kmh.
6th Jon Wardrop, 134.33 kmh. 7th Pablo McAlister, 132. 35kmh. 8th Neil Sutherland, 126. 76kmh. 9th Daniel Greenwood, 1 19.00kmh. 10th Chris Allem, 105.88 Women lst Liz Fields, Ohakune, 100.32kmh. 2nd Juliet Newson, Auckland, 92.64kmh.
