Raetihi-Waimarino garden competition

The Raetihi Garden Club is again holding a town and country garden competition open to residents of the Raetihi Borough and Waimarino County. Three judges view the gardens in late January or early February, and winners are announced at the A and P Show. Gardens are marked in the following sections: design, harmony and arrange-

ment (20), cultivation and maintenance of lawns (20), flowers (20), vegetables (20), trees and shrubs (10), verges and boundaries (10), total 100. The winner is awarded a trophy donated by Mr and Mrs Mosaed, while second and third placegetters receive a voucher. Entries close on 31 October.
