Farewell party for leavers
Constable Greg Whyte is leaving the Ohakune Police station after a year there. He has chosen to move to Waiouru, a twoman station which he says is a promotion of a sort, as Ohakune is a three man sergeant's station. Constable Whyte came to Ohakune from Wanganui, where he had been for a year. Prior to that he was stationed in Taihape for four years following his first posting at Auckland Central. Replacing him at Ohakune will be Constable John Fraser from Auckland Central police station. He will be arriving on 9 September. ★ ★ ★ Four teachers left Ohakune Primary School at the end of the second term. Cheryll Quinn is moving to Auckland after being at the school for nearly three years. Karen Johansen has left for the South of France
after being at the school tor two-and-a-half years. Joan Wood and her husband who was the manager of the school bus garage are moving to Hawera. Joan has been at the school for a year.
baiiy uiarice nas neen ai Ohakune Primary for three years and is moving to Auckland. Four new teachers will be replacing those leaving at the beginning of next term.
