AGI STORE RE-OPENS THURSDAY WEEK
The Armed Forces Canteen Council plans to launch its revamped A.G.I. shop in Waiouru with bargains and instore radio broadcasts on next Thursday 12 September. The A.G.I. will close for five days from Saturday while staff re-organise the shop to make room for more stock. Store manager/Robert Morris says the staff will be able to give the people of Waiouru a better shopping complex. Five more staff have been hired in recent weeks, and are likely to be employed soon after the re-opening. Ruapehu Radio will broadcast live in the shop on the opening day and will be talking with members of the Armed Forces Canteen Council, including the general manager. A good selection of grocery specials will be available from opening day. Opening hours will be extended to 5.30pm during the week. Already the Saturday hours have been extended.
