Potentially dangerous intersection
According to one local resident who uses SH49 regularly he has nearly been 'wiped out' on several occasions at this junction of Turoa Drive and the main road. The problem seems to be that there are no 'stop' or 'giveway' signs warning motorists leaving the Turoa Alpine Village that they are enterihg a main and very busy road. All other intersections of major highways and minor roads are controlled to prevent motorists exiting from side roads without having due regard to trafflc on the main road. Our local survivor suggests a 'stop' sign at the very least.
