Catchment Board

The general manager of the Catchment Board has been invited to speak to the Ohakune Borough Council. Town Clerk, Mrs Edith Moore, said that the council now paid the Catchment Board $20,000 per year "and we don't feel we get $20,000 worth of value." Mayor Bill Taylor added that the sum the council paid to the Catchment Board had gone up from $11,000 to $20,000 in the last year, which accounted for two percent of the borough's rate rise.
