New fruit business

Opened last week in Ohakune was 'The Fruit Bowl', a new business venture launched by Mr Ian Hemra and his wife Rangi. Mr Hemra has worked in Ohakune market gardens most of his life and he feels his experience will enable him to make a success of the new business. The shop in Clyde Street, Ohakune, will stock a large variety of fruit and veges, bought locally and from city markets. Ian plans to continue his market gardening work while Rangi takes care of the shop. The couple plan to sell delicatessen food in addition to fruit and veges.
