Rent regulations

Phil Goff, the Minister of Housing, has advised all landlords and tenants that the Rent IJ.mitations Regulations expired on 28 February 1985. If, however, the rent of a house or flat, was increased between 1 April 1984 and 28 February 1985, under the Rent Limitations Regulations, then it cannot be further increased again for a year from the date of the increase. Landlords and tenants may apply to a Rent Appeal Board for an assessment of an equitable rent, or contact the Housing Corporation at Wanganui 54-462.
