New column
This article, by the Mayor of Ohakune, Mr Bill Taylor, is the first in a series written by the region's local authority leaders, which will appear in the Bulletin in the coming months. The five community leaders in the Bulletin's circulation area — Mr Taylor, Mr Garrick Workman (Raetihi), Colonel Bruce Meldrum (Waiouru), Mr Bruce Berry (Waimarino County) and Mr Marshal Gebbie (National Park) have all agreed to contribute. The column will run every week, with the five guests taking turns to give their views on a wide range of subjects which are relevant to the people of the Ruapehu region.
