Milk up and down

Although milk prices in the Ruapehu region went up this week by six cents, making it the most expensive in the North Island, the price may drop again when the Raetihi Milk Company closes. Milk went up by 6t to 41c on Friday. When the Raetihi Milk Company closes on 30 June the price of milk may drop to between 35c and 38c, depending on which station takes over supplying the area, according to the Raetihi Milk Company's manager, Mr Peter Jones.
