'Lions'

Almost six thousand dollars was recently given to two charities by the Ruapehu Lions Club — the money having been raised by the auctioning of a collection of model trains. The Lions Club obtained the trains almost ten years ago. They had been a part of the estate of a young Marine Officer, Rex Eisehler, who died of cancer. Mr Eisehler's parents, Mr and Mrs Jim Eisehler, still live in Raetihi.
