To the editor

Dear Sir, As a ratepayer and long--time Rangataua citizen I am appalled at the sight of some of the disgusting properties in Rangataua township. The grass around these sections is just a fire hazard and some of these properties have noxious weeds, such as broom. Most of these eye-sores are owned by skiers who think they own the place when they arrive in the winter, but their only interest is skiing. You read in papers where other boroughs and counties are making these people clean up their properties. What is wrong with our county? It is just as if we don't exist in Rangataua. It is time the county had a good look at just what is happening in Rangataua. Fed up ratepayer Dear Sir, I would like to advise readers of the Waimarino Bulletin in the National

Park area that, for personal reasons, I am unable to continue as their total newsgatherer and reporter. I would also like to take this opportunity of thanking National Park punters for their patronage of their local T.A.B. during my eleven years term as agent. Now that the local T.A.B. closed its doors, (Monday 25th February) former patrons are advised that the nearest T.A.B. offices are situated in Ohakune (35kms) and Taumarunui (49kms).
