More rain
There were more than twice as much rain last month than in January 1984, figures kept by the overseer of Waimarino County Council show. Last month there was 163.48mm of rain which fell on sixteen days. Last January the figure was 71.04mm on 1 1 days.
The total rainfall for the whole of last year was 1433mm on 179 days. 1983's figure was 1 348mm on 204 days.
