New shop

A new shop was opened in Ohakune on Thursday by Noel and Pat Heyworth, who came to the town from Wellington. The business will specialise in upholstery — recovering furniture, the inside of cars, cushions and also canvas work. Noel ran an upholstery business in Wellington, but last year came to Ohakune to live and worked as a driver on the ski bus run up to the Turoa skifield. But this year Noel said he "wanted to do something else for a change,"* and started looking for suitable premises to use for another upholstery business. The shop he found is on the corner of Clyde Street and Goldfinch Street and on Thursday he opened his doors forthe first time.
