TELEVISION PREVIEW

Now that the school holidays have started, soap fans will have to wait until late January 1985 before the answers to many questions are resolved. Every week day until the children return to school, sees a lunchtime movie. Today (Tuesday) on One at 12.02pm don't miss Captain Sinbad based on the legend of Sinbad the Sailor and starring Guy Williams. At 8pm on One hopefully we will all be able to see the magic of Torvill and Dean again in a documentary filmed earlier this year at the Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Zimska Olimpijada was filmed by a five man New Zealand crew who I hope were able to point the camera in Markus Hubrich's direction as unfortunately the coverage we received here showed nothing of his excellent performances. I'm sure Bully will be watching One on Wednesday at 6pm for the live coverage of the Avondale Cup, an accurate form guide for the rich Auckland and Welling-

ton Cups coming up soon. 7.30pm on Two Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton feature in a Christmas Special. Once again, we have the dilemma on One at 8pm when the Wednesday movie, Death on the Nile robs us of the last half hour of another excellent Showtime special. Thursday evening at 9.30 on One a new series starring Rowan Atkinson, the man with the deadpan expressions on Not the Nine O'Clock News. Titled The Black Adder, the six part series promises to be compulsory viewing from now on. Friday evening on Two at 8.30 in The Comedy Hour, McPhail and Gadsby review highlights from their shows broadcast earlier this year. My opinion, for what it matters, is that this series revitalised the duo. They showed that a change of Government did not hamper their style, in fact the series of skits asking the question, "Who's in Anne Hercus's shower?" were classics. On the same channel at

10pm, the Friday Feature is a 1979 movie starring A1 Pacino titled, And Justice For All. Watch out for Dynasty's, John Forsythe who plays the part of a judge on trial.. Sunday on One at 12.02pm Big League Soccercontinues to show the high quality of British football these days. That's it for the week. Happy viewing. Bifocals
