NEW NAME FOR RUGBY CLUB

A Special General Meeting at 1.00pm on Sunday 25 November confirmed adoption of new constitution. The first item of business was to decide on a name change for Ihe Club. Henceforth the name of the Club is to be OhakuneKarioi Rugby and Sports Club Inc.

The Annual General Meeting was held at 2.00pm. The following officers were elected: President Ron McDougall (3rd year), lst Vice President Bill Harding (2nd year), 2nd Vice President Noel Bates (2nd year), Secretary Rod Gill (1st year), Treasurer John Kennedy (5th year), Club Captain Robin Pearson (2nd year), Club Committee Ian Strachan, Noni Brown, Dennis Brown, James Ennis, Murray Donald, Geoff Donald, Tom Spry, Ned Te Hira. Custodian Dennis Brown, Coaches (senior) D. Blackburn (subject to confirmation), ( senior reserve) Noni Brown. B52's and Under 19 grades left open at this stage to new committee. Managers (senior) Hugh Gordon, (senior reserve) Isaac Henare, Northern Wanganui and Wanganui Delegate Bill Harding.
