GALLIPOLI SEEDLING PLANTED
On Monday 5 November a young tree — a direct descendant of another that grew on the Gallipoli peninsula — was planted by Raetihi RSA patron Mr Ray Littlewood in a simple and dignified ceremony attended by about a dozen members of the Returned Servicemen's Association and their wives. The young seedling pine was planted between two rows of graves occupied by those who had served in the armed services.
