Unexpected treat for birthday girl

Gwen Dowsett of Ohakune who was 75 years young last Wednesday week was treated to a special surprise for her hirthday. Family and friends got together to enable her to fulfill a long-cherished desire for a helicopter ride but didn't tell her of the surprise in store until she arrivedfor her first flight. Those involved in the well-kept secret were Brian and Cynthia Dowsett and Rexand Sid Lane who pilotedhis Bell Jet Ranger on the sight-seeing flight over Ohakune which Gwen Dowsett described as fantastic' and 'spectacular'. For Gwen Dowsett 's 100th birthday Brian and Cynthia are planning a flight for her in the Challenger space shuttle!
