RIFLE CLUB

Four members of the newly formed Waimarino Smallbore Rifle Club travelled to Wanganui last Saturday where they spent an enjoyable day competing in the Westmere Open Championships. Lynette Maru, Tom Donaldson, Ken Summerhays and Mike Beytagh, all of Raetihi, met with .other marksmen round the region and shot against experienced competitors. They all did well in various grades but only Mike Beytagh achieved a placing. He came second in the D grade. The club is now firmly established and looks forward to competing in Wanganui interclub competitions and championships in the coming year. Any budding marksman wishing to try out the new sport in the Waimarino is invited to 'have a go'. Please contact Mike Beytagh or Ken Summerhays.
