WAIKUNE ESCAPEES CAUGHT IN PORIRUA

T wo prisoners who escaped from Waikune Prison near National Park during the night of Sunday 23 September were recaptured in Porirua three days later. Jay Victor Longman and Edward Whiu, both 24, had been seen in Ohakune last Monday afternoon but were not apprehended until Wednesday in Porirua.
