MEN'S GOLF

Saturday 15 September Excellent conditions continue together with good scoring. Tops in a stableford competition were J. Ennis 40, S. Magee 39, G. Harvey 38. Visitor W. King scored the only two. Sunday 16 September The Annual Interclub Cascade Cup was contested with foursomes in the morning and singles in the afternoon. The local team of G. Allerby, G. Imhoff, R. Southee, K. McDougall, R. Wise, P. Garrett, J. Ennis, and P. Fitzgerald running out comfortable winners from Taihape, Ruapehu and Pearce Park.

The afternoon haggle again produced some good scores. Senior J. Ennis 42, S. Magee, S. Swarbrick, P. Goldfinch 40, C. McDonald and G. Sutherland (both Taihape) 38. Junior K. Tapp 41, A. Harvey 40, J. Mato (Ruapehu) 37, R. Wood 36. Two's on nominated holes were scored by G. Allerby, G. Harvey and M. Mowatt.
