Board of Governors Report to Council
The following Ruapehu College Board of Governors report (abridged) was presented to the Ohakune Borough Council last Thursday. • The contract quote for two flat units on the College section in Arawa Street was unacceptable to the Department of Education. The Department has advised the Board to look at a new proposal and plans of flats built in Hawera for $90,000. • Twenty eight chairs and tables for the new typing room have been ordered and
approved. Six new electric typewriters are to be purchased in the near future. • The College and Community Gymnasium Committee are to consider a 7year budget plan. Informal discussions are to be arranged to discuss gymnasium management, bookings and accounts.
