Two little charmers visit Bulletin office
Sisters Cathy-Anne and Donna Cranston shown with their entries in the Bulletin's colouring-in competition held in conjunction
with the August school holidays. The two girls each won a prize for the most interesting overall effect. The Waimarino Bulletin received over one hundred entries for the colouring-in competitions and crossword puzzles, proof indeed that the newspaper has wide eommunity appeal. In the issue 21 August, publisher John Sandford told readers of a circulation increase to 3,400.
Since then, the Bulletin has had to raise that by an additional 100 as demand for the newspaper far exceeded the number printed. Editor Dennis Beytagh is not surprised at ihe healthy increase. "I have noticed for some time that we have been running out of newspapers and the many comments I receive from readers about the Waimarino Bulletin, proves to me that we are producing a paper that serves the community."
