New glider for Ruapehu

The Ruapehu Gliding Club has purchased a new two-seater glider in Europe to replace the club's previous trainer, which was damaged at Taupo. Shopping problems have delayed the glider's arrival, but members hope for a speedy delivery. The new glider, a Blanik, is a highly regarded maehine and should generate much interest from existing and prospective members, the club says. The Blanik joins the club's Ka 6 single-seat glider. Although still small, the Ruapehu Club enjoys ' a friendly and enthusiastic membership, and excellent facilities and flying conditions.
