Postponed 24 hours because of adverse weather conditions the McDonald's Cup Giant Slalom Race was staged on the Turoa Skifields last Monday. Eighty-four young competitors, boys and girls, under the age of 1 5 took part divided into three age groups — 13-15, 11-13 and under 11. The winners and those recording faster times were: J15 Male 1 Huntley Wright 30.67secs, 2 Anthony Tidswell . 32.17secs, 3 Michael Currie 32.84 secs.
