OHAKUNE BOROUGH APPOINTS STAFF

At last Thursday's meeting of the Ohakune Borough Council the following appointments were made. • MrsEdithMoore,former assistant Town Clerk has been appointed Town Clerk in place of Colin Turner who resigned last month. Mrs Moore first came to live in Ohakune from Napier in 1975 and in 1978 joined the Ohakune Borough Council £taff as a clerk. In June 1981 shewas appointed Assistant Town Clerk. • Mr Gary McKenzie, formerly manager of the

Wanganui Savings Bank and, for a brief period, a partner in the Rendezvous Dairy has been appointed Assistant Town Clerk. Gary came to live in Ohakune from Wanganui three years ago. • Mr Des Sutton of Ohakune has been appointed the Borough's Building Inspector. He was formerly a part-tinie assistant building inspector when Colin Turner was Town Clerk and Building Inspector. • Mr Ian Raymond Weller

of Ohakune has been appointed as the Borough's Plumbing Inspector on a temporary basis until a permanent appointment is made. Mr Weller is with New Zealand Railways and is 'on loan' when required. • Mr Graham R. Gillespie of Wanganui has been appointed as the Borough's Health Inspector on a temporary basis until a permanent appointment is made. Mr Gillespie will travel up from Wanganui when required.
