JUNIOR SOCCER REPORT

Two exciting games were played at the Ohakune Primary School grounds oi . Sunday 12 August when Waiouru travelled to Ohakune. The junior match was won by Ohakune 3-1 . John Cousins scored for Waiouru and for Ohakune Peter Sanson scored twice and Lance Callaghan also goaled. This was a fast moving game. In the senior game Waiouru put pressure on Ohakune in the first half and Richard Carter scored twice before half-time for Waiouru. The second half saw an improved effort from Ohakune with goals by Junior Kaata, Anthony Callaghan (2) plus an own goal. For Waiouru Richard Carter again scored but the final score was Ohakune 4, Waiouru 3. The Ohakune senior team have now completed a fine season and were unbeaten in all competition games.
