A small field contesited a stableford competition on Saturday July 26. Best scores were recorded by R. Southee 36, K. McDougall 34. Sunday July 22 saw good conditions for a large field, many playing matches which were postponed after the previous Sunday's snow and showers. Good scoring generally for the First Medal competition. Ces Allerby won the event with a nett 67. Other top juniors were: N. Clarke 68, J. Martin, N. Black, and T. Darroch — all 70. G. Ennis and R. Wise scored 2's on nominated holes and Wise also birdied the No. 9 to pick up the Junior Birds nest. Seniors: C. Turner and R. 1 Southee 69, D. Windle and R. Pearson 70. 2's on nominated holes by A.R. Brown and T. Geraghty. Dalgety Crown Golf Day Thursday 19 July Once again a very enjoyable day was held at the Waimarino Golf Club and 100 players and hackers teed off in perfect weather.
