Old brickworks puzzle

The Waimarino Historica Society would like to hear from anyone with information about the old Raetihi brickworks and claypit. Society member Linda Keith has compiled a questionnaire asking locals to dust off their memories and share reminiscences of the works during the town's formative years. She wants to know where the works was sited, the shape of the kiln, the position of the kiln and the claypit, the colour of the clay, the name of the man in charge and the date the works was demolished. At present the Society has just a few bricks from the works, and wishes to document this little-known part of the area's history.
