College appoints Board
New appointments to the Ruapehu College Board of Governors have been confirmed. Mr Terrence Tapp and Mrs . Bronva Meyer are representatives for the Raetihi Ward. They were elected unopposed. In the Ohakune Ward an election had to be held because there were three candidates for the two vacancies. The twp successful candidates were Mrs Janet Martin (who polled 70
votes), and Mr Mathiu Mareikura, who polled 63 votes. They were duly elected. Other members of the Board are Mr William Alexander Harding of Waiouru and Mr Peter Berry. Another Waiouru member will be elected from the community.
