ARMY EXERCISE A SUCCESS

Several sun-tanned soldiers returned to the Waiouru army camp after last week's escape and evasion exercise, operation Nemesis. The officers' leadership training exercise, was very successful, says the Army's Public Relations Officer, Major David Roseveare. Officers had some difficulty coping with the cold spell early last week and were very tired by the end of the exercise on Thursday. All groups were caught at least once, Major Roseveare says, but the objectives were met. Army personnel were able analyse the officers' responses when placed under considerable physical and psychological pressure, he says.
