RATIONALISATION

Cr Andrew Cornwall at last month's meeting of the Raetihi Borough Council expressed sympathy with the plight Ohakune Borough now found itself in following the resignation of its Town Clerk, Mr Colin Turner,and asked if there was any chance of rationalisation of any of the services — such as health and building inspectors — between the two boroughsand the Waimarino County. It was agreed that such a 'rationalisation' could be of benefit to all three local authorities and that the matter would be looked at.
