Local bull sale realises $80,000

The fourteenth annual Okahu polled Hereford Bull Sale took place on the Valley Road property of Mr S. CNeil last month. The average price for the 30 bulls sold was $2786. Top price of $4300 was paid for Okahu Monarch 2 which was acquired by the Papatahi Stud of Masterton. - A Gisborne buyer bought Okahu Quility 90 for $3800. Top price of $3500 was paid by a local buyer when Ian Strachan purchased Okahu Monarch 3. Altogether 14 bulls were acquired by local interests. The other buyers came from Feilding, Levin, Masterton, Gisborne, Wanganui, Taumarunui, Hunterville and Hawera.
