'Cool clay potters'
Bon Voyage The Waikune Officers Social Club was packed to capacity on Saturday 16 June, with friends from near and far who attended a combined farewell. Mr Bob Patterson who has been employed as an officer in Waikune for the past 1 1 Vi years, has transferred to Waitoke Prison Farm, Wanganui.
Bob and his wife Wendy have since bought a home in Wanganui where they plan to settle. Mr Ray Workman has also worked at Waikune for about 14 years all told. Ray, Colleen and their two children have since sold all their household furnishings and have shifted to Australia, to reside in Ferntree Gully. Ray will be
employed by the Metropolitan Security Service in Melbourne. Eighteen members from the National Park Country Music Club provided continuous foot-stomping music throughout the evening and the superb supper concluded a highly enjoyable evening for all.
