JUNIOR SOCCER
Raetihi visited Ohakune on Saturday 16 June and two good games were played on the Primary School grounds. The junior game was a hard fought tussle with Raetihi emerging as victors by 1 goal (scored by Shaun Drinkwater) to nil. Ohakune had the better of Raetihi in the first half of the senior game and led 2 goals to 1 at half-time. Goals were §cored by Karl Brannigan and Mark Seebeck for Ohakune ' and Douglas Sattler for Raetihi. However, Raetihi fought back well in the second half and equalised with a fine long range goal by Jeremy McDonnell which just eluded the grasp of Ohakune goalkeeper Bernard Phillips. Final score Ohakune 2, Raetihi 2.
