Town Clerk resigns

Ohakune's Town Clerk for more than 6 years, Mr Colin W. Turner, resigned last Thursday evening following the regular meeting of the Ohakune Borough Council. Mr Turner will however continue to fulfill his duties until September when a replacement should be found. Mayor Bill Taylor said that Council had accepted Mr Turner's resignation with genuine regret. He added that the vacancy would be a difficult one to fill as - Colin had

combined the duties of Town Clerk with that of health inspectorand building inspector.
