Ruapehu College has two new teachers this term. Anne Pomeroy has come from Hamilton and David Archibald from Hastings. Miss Pomeroy has taught for 15 years and will be taking English in Forms 3, 4 and 5. She will also be teaching Remedial Reading, 4th Form SocialStudies and a small choir. Mr Archibald, who is a graduate of the Auckland Teachers College has a BA degree in History, Maths, Russian, Economics and Politics from the University of Auckland, is teaching for his first time. He is taking 6th and 7th Form History, 5th Form English and 3rd Form Social Studies and Maths. A very attractive refencing plan has been designed by the School Committee and work has commenced. The school has been very fortunate to receive a large amount of donated material and labour to make the project possible.
