MENS GOLF
Saturday 19 May Cold conditions for a small field playing a Saturday Cup qualifying round. The only player to score under his handicap was B. Drinkwater with 68 nett, followed by A.R. Brown and N. Black hoth with 73 and S. Magee scored the only two. At Pearce Park our team of R! Southee, K. Tapp, R. Pearsonand K. Summerhays played good golf to defeat Taihape in our first Zones Match, winning on a count back after each team recorded 3 wins.
Sunday 20 May Heavy frost, very cold wind, small field, but some good scoring. Senior D. Trotter 39 stableford points, S. Swarbrick 38. Junior A. Christensen 40, R. Martin 37, L. Sommerville 36, T. Frederick 35. Twos were scored by K. Tapp and D. Trotter.
