Waimarino United were unlucky to lose 3-2 against the leading team in the league, Turangi Wanderers on Sunday 20 May. Waimarino had its chances in the first half but were unable to capitalise on them and at the turn around, it was 0-0. The second half was more entertaining with Turangi able to make their opportunities count. Scorers for Waimarino were: Gary McMillan and an own goal.
