HOCKEY
Ruapehu Women's Hockey Association held their 'Opening Day T ournament' on 28 April at Hamilton Field, Waiouru. The 7-a-side teams played seven minutes each way with games starting at 10am. Fortytwo games in all were played. The final results of the day were: Women lst Rangers — 18 points, 19 goals; 2nd Ruapehu College I — 18 points, 12 goals; 3rd Waiouru Women I — 18 points, 10 goals; 4th Major Sports Taihape — 16 points; 5th Ruapehu College. II —14
points; 6th Taihape College — 12 points; 7th Waiouru Women II — 8 points; 7th Ruapehu College III — 8 points. Men lst Waiouru Men I — 10 points, 9 goals; 2nd Ruapehu College I — 10 points, 7 goals; 3rd Warriors — 9 points; 4th Taihape College — 6 points; 5th Ruapehu College II — 5 points.
