Lions active in Waiouru

Waiouru Lions Club are busy as usual with many ideas and projects. A motorbike track for moto-croSsand*BMX riding is planned and the site is to be the field between Pattersons Field and the Army Museum carpark.

The rose garden and picnic area adjacent to the animal park on SH49 is well underway, with Lions working hard on it most weekends. Another project yet to be undertaken is the erection of 'Welcome to Waiouru' signs on local highways.
