Quake
A small quake was felt as a short, sharp 'thump' by some Waimarino residents in the early hours of last Monday morning. The quake, which was centred near Wanganui and timed at 0248, measured 4.4 on the Richter Scale. It happened only a few hours after a television programme featuring a simulated earthquake was screened on Sunday evening.
